Replacing a stalwart like David Seaman must have been a difficult job but signing Lehmann proved to be a masterstroke from Arsene Wenger. The German stopper played every game of the famous ‘Invincibles’ campaign and saved the decisive penalty in an FA Cup final shootout against Manchester United a year later. The following season Lehmann broke the record for consecutive clean sheets in the Champions League with 10, a record which still stands today. In total he played 200 games for the club and won both the Premier League and the FA Cup.
